Media Consent & Release – National Limbo Competition

Notice: Participation in the National Limbo Competition requires agreement to this Media Consent & Release. By continuing, you or your child are confirming consent for the recording and use of media as described below.

Media Recording & Use

I acknowledge and agree that photographs, audio recordings, and video recordings may be taken of the participant(s) named above in connection with activities of the National Dance Association of Trinidad and Tobago (NDA), including the National Limbo Competition.

I grant the NDA and any third parties authorised by the NDA, including commercial and for-profit media partners, the irrevocable right to record, edit, reproduce, adapt, publish, distribute, broadcast, and otherwise use these materials, in whole or in part, for promotional, educational, archival, historical, informational, and commercial purposes, in any format or medium, including print, television, film, websites, social media, digital platforms, and all other media now known or hereafter developed, worldwide and in perpetuity.

Editing & Context

I understand and agree that the materials may be edited, altered, cropped, combined with other content, or used in different formats and contexts, and I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product or the manner in which it is used, provided such use is consistent with the purposes stated above.

No Compensation

I acknowledge and agree that I will receive no compensation, royalties, residuals, or other payment now or in the future for the recording or use of these materials, whether such use is commercial or non-commercial.

Release of Liability

I hereby release and discharge NDA, its officers, employees, agents, contractors, sponsors, partners, authorised media entities, and platforms from any and all claims, demands, or liabilities arising out of or related to the recording, use, publication, distribution, or commercial exploitation of the materials, including but not limited to claims for invasion of privacy, defamation, or misrepresentation.

Minors

If the participant is under the age of eighteen (18), I confirm that I am the participant’s parent or legal guardian, that I have the legal authority to provide this consent on their behalf, and that this consent is given for the benefit of the minor participant.

Limits on Use

The NDA agrees that the materials will not be knowingly used in a manner that is unlawful or wholly unrelated to the mission, events, or activities of the organisation without obtaining additional consent. 

Consent to this media release is a requirement for participation in the National Limbo Competition. The NDA will not allow participants to compete without agreeing to these terms.

Governing Law

This consent and release shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
